While deciding what to make my website about I went with what was most obvious to me at the time and that was nature.
I’ve always been drawn to nature, some times more than others but I always come back to it. I come back to it through every mood that I experience from sadness to awe and gratefulness to depression. In a way, we come from nature.

In an article by UC Cincinnati, it states,” here are numerous studies that support the healing power of nature. A study of 20,000 people found that those who spend at least 120 minutes per week in nature, whether in a local park or other natural environment, were more likely to report better health and well-being. “

What steps should I take?

Since we have evidence that nature is good for us, what are some actions we can do to be spending more time in nature?
Here are some suggestions of what we can do:

  • Research what parks are nearby.
  • Make a goal to spend more time outside
  • Go on hikes
  • Make a goal each day to go out for a walk
  • If you like to go jogging- try jogging outside
  • Make sure to wear sunscreen!

I hope this little tid bit of information can be useful and encourage you to appreciate nature and see the benefits of it
